# Airthings Corentium Home 2 vs. View Radon vs. View Plus

All three are consumer digital radon monitors: they measure radon continuously while they have power, so you can watch levels change.[^1] They don’t replace a lab test. CRCPD says to verify a consumer monitor’s results with an approved test, and never to use one in a real estate transaction.[^2]

## Which fits what you want

- **Corentium Home 2:** if you want a simple battery device that shows radon averages on its own screen. Airthings says it can be used as a standalone device without any wireless connectivity.[^3]
- **View Radon:** if you want to check readings in the Airthings app over Wi-Fi, on a larger ePaper display.[^4]
- **View Plus:** if you also want particulate matter (PM2.5), carbon dioxide, airborne chemicals and air pressure, along with radon.[^5]

## What official sources say about all three

- CRCPD: the accuracy and reliability of consumer digital radon monitors have not been verified by an independent third party, and results may be higher or lower than actual radon levels.[^2]
- CRCPD: they are not for making radon mitigation decisions; long-term testing is advised for that.[^2]
- CRCPD: because monitors may lose accuracy over time, verify radon levels periodically using an approved method.[^2]
- Professional listings: as of October 17, 2026, NRPP’s and NRSB’s approved-device lists include Airthings’ Corentium Pro, not these three consumer models.[^6][^7]

## Start with the lab test, add a monitor if you like

Order the Health Department Lab’s long-term kit for $25[^8] and leave it in place for 3 to 12 months, ideally including a heating season.[^9]

**Want to see levels day to day?** A digital monitor measures and records radon continuously while it has power.[^1] Use it alongside the lab test, not instead of it: CRCPD says to check a consumer monitor’s results with an approved test.[^10]
